Submitted on Review title of GODofDUTY83Great GameRecommend downloading the game manual (laptop, tablet, phone) as this game has a mass of options not clearly explained ingame. As soon as I read it it was a case of restarting and slapping this badboy on hard for the long war.Dont get sucked into the meta fleet and officer builds. It will quickly get boring doing the same thing over and over and over.
Utilise all of the officer types and mix up your fleets. They all have their benefits.Shame multiplayer is not in game. I heard Microsoft have rejected the build three times now as it has unwanted affects on the system.
Hopefully the devs dont give up on it.Overall - Great Game. Submitted on Review title of AccidentallyGodBattlestar Galactica? More like stinky! In all seriousness, the game is pretty well done.
The graphics and ship designs are cool, nice to look at etc. I feel like the combat can be scary when you're new, but once you get to grips with it, it plays well.
There's a story, but I personally don't pay too much attention to it, rather create my own stories throughout. I guess my biggest complaint is sometimes the micromanagement drags, having to manually alter every ship detracts from the experience for me. But overall, the game flows well with experience, and is both fun and challenging, which is pretty much what a good strategy game should feel like.
I have attempted lawful warfare.I have attempted genocide. And for my failures, I watch God’s lands ravaged by fire, infestation, and nuclear storm.I go where Atropos points. I slay whomever I find there. I am reduced to nothing more than ascalpel.Yet somehow, the flesh continues to resistTomorrow we will be releasing the latest expansion for Battlestar Galactica Deadlock, whichincludes the free Fleet Admiral Update, and the Ghost Fleet Offensive DLC. In this DevDiary, we will be looking into some of the new features and content in this expansion. In the last Dev Diary, Colonial Day, we explored the new ships that the Colonials will haveaccess to.
Of course, the Cylons are also getting new gear, in the form of a new ship, theMedusa, and two new munitions. The Medusa is a dedicated command ship with the ability to supercharge the systems onnearby allies. Using a new Cylon technology called a Remote Transmission ProcessingAugmentation Matrix (R-TPAM), the Medusa increases the processing power and overclockcaps on the targeted ships. Want to boost the Fire Control of a Cerestes so it can hold offVipers squadrons? Want to boost your Phobos’ Tech Bay so it’s got a longertactical jump range? The Medusa also has munition slots and a cluster of pointdefence cannons, so it can defend itself when it needs to.The Cylons also get a couple of new munition options: cluster nukes and virus mines.Cluster nukes are, as the name suggests, a multi-warhead nuclear missile.
They can targetfrom 1 to 6 ships when launched. Individually, each warhead is less powerful than theregular single warhead nukes, but the ability to separate and target multiple ships will keepColonial anti-missile defenses on their toes.Virus mines are an area control mechanism. Once deployed, these mines will attempt tohack any Colonial vessels that get too close, causing subsystem damage that can disablecritical systems and leave your fleet vulnerable. You’ll encounter these new Cylon terrors in the Ghost Fleet Offensive campaign.
Set in the10th year of the Cylon War, the Colonials have devised a plan to strike at the Cylon in theirown territory. If you’ve seen Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome, you’ll be familiar with theGhost Fleet. The Ghost Fleet Offensive campaign does not attempt to retell Adama and Coker’s story inBlood & Chrome. Instead, you will be in command of the whole operation.
